MINUTES OF THE HLRC MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 4, 2020, AT
SAINT ARNOLD’S BREWERY
Attendees: Philip, Kirby, Courtney, Jason D, Sergio, Robert D, Erik R, Mike Neill, Mark, Brian, Paul and Barbara
The February meeting of the HLRC was called to order by Kirby at 7:35 p.m. After introductions were made, Kirby discussed the status of a new location to hold the meetings. The January meeting was held at Down the Street. The location was too small and there was no parking. Saint Arnold’s Brewery was picked as the location for the February meeting. The members sat outside on picnic tables. There were large heaters outside, but it was cold and very loud. The March meeting place has not been decided, but Sergio suggested Café Express on West Gray.
Jason announced that 3 weeks ago he removed the stereo and all of the wiring from his Land Rover and it is still not back together.
Kirby ordered the Cummins engine. He is staying with the R380 that came with the Defender.
SCARR is scheduled for April 16th through 19th in Gilmer, Texas. Regular registration will close at midnight on February 29th. Non-member registration fee is $150.00 and there is a separate passenger fee. To obtain more information or to register go to https://www.scarrtexasrovers.com.
Courtney is going on a 2 week Baja run with friends that she met at Overland Expo. Jason is going to Big Bend with all stock vehicles. Kirby just got back from Georgia where he went off-roading with friends and family.
Door prizes were given out and the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
