Trip Logistics Spreadsheet
The Houston Land Rover Club has the opportunity to help support Disaster Response Services.
They are hosting a training/relief trip in Belize during a week of the Christmas Holiday, 2008.
The initial vision:
We along with other LR clubs (Austin, Dallas, Oklahoma, etc...) would drive to Belize and support a staff of doctors and medical school students in southern Belize. Our job would be to transport the medical staff and supplies/equipment to locations inaccessibly by other vehicles.
There is little concrete information at this time.
Tentative Dates:
Somewhere in the range of December 19th - January 4th
Details thus far:
We will need to agree to 5 working days in Belize not including drive time to and from Belize. At this time fuel, lodging & food is not provided for the trip to Belize. Once in Belize food and fuel will be provided. We will investigate sponsorship for costs to and from our destination.
At this point, with lack of definitive information on this expedition, we would like to know who would be interested in this project.
Due to the overwhelming interest in this support trip our next months meeting will be held at their location in Pearland on the 1st Saturday evening (time and location to be determined) to further discuss and start the beginning planning strategies.
Please sign up for the event in one of two categories. "Committed" or "Interested"
