October 5th, 2005 Monthly Meeting at Jax

Members in attendance:

Sergio Sosa, the President, called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.

Past events: There were no club sponsored activities over the last month.

Current events:
AGM -- Sergio announced that the Board of Directors had met again to discuss the AGM. The prizes that will be raffled off are: (1) freeze/fridge and (2) welder. Raffle tickets will be presold. The members had voted several months ago that in order to win the grand prize, members must have attended two events. The Board classifies an event as work related. Examples of work related events include dealer events, trail clearings, and trash pickup.

The AGM is held at the Renaissance Hotel. Lance Sloan reminded everyone that valet parking is free and members must valet park if they arrive in a Land Rover. The parking garage ceiling is very low.

Hummer Event – Steve McDonald reported that he received a phone call from McGinnis Hummer and they are interested in organizing a Hummer dealer event. They have requested help from the HLRC and would make a donation to the club. The club voted to assist McGinnis Hummer during the event.

Sergio reminded the members that the British Expo at Traders Village will be held on October 15 – 16, 2005 .

Sergio announced that if anyone is interested in being a Board Member, they need to notify him. Elections will be held at the AGM.

Bill Mallin announced that Andy Warner is the new website guru.

Sergio reported that the HLRC has new shirts, hats and bags for sale.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
