  • Doug starts the meeting at 7:35PM

  • Doug opens with the idea to put Katemcy Rocks on the events calendar.

  • Doug then updates everyone on the September 27th Columbus trail clearing. He said that during this event that Sergio ended up with a broken water hose. He said that Land Rover Houston drove all the way to Columbus to bring him a part so he could fix his vehicle! Thanks LRH!

  • Doug then explains what the AGM is. The AGM is a general meeting that is held in order to vote in a new executive board for the HLRC. He also says that during this years AGM, there are rules for the “raffle”. You HAVE to RSVP in order to be eligible to win the prize. Raffle tickets are $5.00 and there will be 2 raffles for different prizes. Prizes are ARB refrig., a winch and a spot for a Bill Burke weekend. (see Lance Miller for more info pertaining to this)

  • Lance M. explains that the Bill Burke weekend will be November 8th. There are only 2 spaces left and they are $300.00.

  • Lance also updates the membership about the idea of joining the response teams for either CERT or the Red Cross. He says that both groups will come and train our group to help out in disasters.

  • Our VP, Ken updates the final voting on the Gilmer trail. He explains that Solihill Street wins by just a smidge! Looks like since Kai came up with the name that he gets to be trail leader!

  • Ken also mentions that some of our members made the TMTC magazine. Kai and Trey are the lucky guys!

  • Doug tells the membership that Expedition Exchange donated the frig and other goodies for the AGM. EE says that the HLRC is one of their best clubs. They sell more to our club than they do to their local Land Rover club.

  • Rob offers his co-pilot seat to someone for the Bill Burke weekend.

  • October 18th is the trail clearing for Gilmer. Get there before noon and you don’t have to pay a trail fee!

  • Ken mentions that Scott Sukman has a contact at Powertank. $350.00, no shipping or handling! Be sure and mentions Scott’s name in order to get the discount. Want to know what a power tank is? Click here.

  • Meeting ended at 8:20PM
