Doug began the meeting with the usual introductions, and everyone introduced themselves.

Doug recapped the past events, such as:

The camp out at Cold Springs, and the Land Rover Houston/Columbus Range Rover event.  Doug also told of the highlights of the new Rangie.

Doug wanted to bolster support of the Adopt a Highway program that we sponsor.

A vendor also spoke of some custom car covers that he sells, with the trademark Land Rover logo for any of those who are interested.

Ken Mendez spoke of the membership process briefly, and recapped the process of the yahoo HLRC chat group.

Upcoming events are to include:  another rally to Cold Springs, and a possible Rally event up through Sabine pass and Spindletop. 

Mid-September is the scheduled date for the second issue of the Lone Star Rover.

Drawing for door prizes was held, and the meeting was adjourned.
