Sergio Sosa, the President, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Past Events – Sergio reported that several members of the club went to SCARR last month. Several trucks were damaged, but the event was much better organized than last year and everyone had fun. Chris Carlson reported on the trip to General Sam's in Huntsville . It is only a short distance to Huntsville , and although the trails are still being developed, there are several water crossings. Sergio reported on the weigh-in for the trucks. Sergio supplied very accurate scales from his work and members could weigh their trucks. It was an eye-opening experience for those who participated.
Current Events – Sergio announced that new business cards for the HLRC will be ordered soon. The trip to YO Ranch has been removed from the calendar. The Hummer dealership event has been scheduled for July 24, 2005 . There will be 3 separate trail clearings – July 3, July 10 and July 17. Melissa Burns reported that Adopt a Highway has been scheduled for August 7, 2005 and people need to participate. The TMTC general meeting will be held on July 30, 2005 in Gilmer. Melissa would like suggestions for a Labor Day weekend event. Doug Aitken suggested the Club plan a treasure hunt/rally for September or October.
Bill Mallin reported that there are still a few places available on the Colorado trips scheduled for July. The final payments will be due within the next few weeks.
Sam Shirley stated that the membership cards are up to date.
Bill Mallin stated that he is cleaning up the Yahoo group and would like all members to put their real name under profile and then whatever name they use in the Club.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
