Sergio Sosa, the President, called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
Past Events: (1) SCARR – This year a section at the back of the park was set aside for all of the LandRovers owners to camp in one spot. The trails were fun. A BBQ was held on Saturday for all of the SCARR participants; (2) Dealer Event for the LandRover North Store – The customers and dealer employees had a great time and the customers got to go around the track several times. Two employees of a Hummer dealer came out to observe how LandRover's event was different than the Hummer events.
Walter Light reported that he is speaking with several property owners about using their land for off-roading.
Steve McDonald reported that he received a call from the Hummer dealer wanting to hold an off-road event at Spring Creek the weekend after Mother's Day. Steve, Lance Miller, and Sergio met and decided it would not be prudent for the HLRC to work at this event due to the legal issues surrounding Spring Creek.
Future Events: At this time, the only event on the agenda is the Adopt a Highway Cleanup. It was decided that the Adopt a Highway Cleanup would be held on May 21, 2006 .
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
