2006 Board Meeting at Mission Burrito
In attendance:

Sergio called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.
Steve reported that although trash pickup was held for the Adopt a Highway program, turnout was low.
John reported that he had just mailed out numerous membership cards. Next month he will send out reminders for renewal.
Steve reported that the Club received $1,000 from the Hummer dealer for working the last Hummer event. He also reported that both the Land Rover North store and Land Rover Houston have expressed interest in holding dealer events. Land Rover Houston has suggested that the HLRC handle everything for its event, from obtaining the port-a-potties to arranging the food, to renting the tables and chairs. A discussion followed. The North Store would like to hold an event, but is having trouble finding dealer people to volunteer.
Lance reported that SCARR is scheduled for April 7 9, 2006 , at Gilmer. He also reported that the trip to Brazos Valley in the Bryan College Station area was a success and he would like to plan a camping trip to Brazos Valley prior to the SCARR weekend. Brazos Valley is not open to the public and rents only to clubs. A trip is tentatively set for either March 11 or March 18 depending on the availability of Brazos Valley .
Steve reported that the Texas Trash-off is scheduled for April 1, 2006 . A discussion followed and the next trash pickup will be held in June, 2006.
Sergio reported that we have to have a trail clearing in Gilmer, possibly in early June.
Sergio reported that Bill Burke will be in Houston in October, 2006. Sergio believes an On the Road class could be taught by Bill Burke and the Club should push for the new members to participate. A discussion followed and the Board decided that the Club could sell raffle tickets for admission to the Bill Burke event at the dealer events.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
